MARY L. WILLIAMSON

Mary Luberta Williamson was born Oct. 14, 1926, and departed this earthly life May 7, 2014.

Mary attended public schools in Wayne County, and worked in the nursery of Wayne Memorial Hospital for 26 years.

She was a devoted church member of Antioch Baptist Church in Goldsboro, N.C., and sang in the choir and worked with the missionary group for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Williamson Cooper, and her son-in-law Kenneth Jasper Cooper of Liberty, Mo.; her son, Kenneth O'Neal Williamson and her daughter-in-law, Joan Williamson of Shallotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Aliya Sade Cooper of Liberty, Mo., Lloyd Saunders and his wife, Monica Saunders, of Houston, Texas, Bianca DeLuca-Zelaya and her husband, Javier Zelaya, of Raleigh, N.C., and Rachel Saunders of Philadelphia, Pa.; and two great-grandchildren.

Mary leaves behind a sister, Alillian Williamson; a brother, Samuel Williamson; sister-in-law, Hattie Bell Williamson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her niece, Wand Jean McAllister, helped her greatly during her last days.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Goldsboro, with Dr. Kenneth Tate officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Martin Luther King Blvd.

Public visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.

Professional services are entrusted to Hamilton Funeral Chapel.
