Deacon Robert L. Gerald Sr., 98, 212 Gerald Lane, Goldsboro, died Wednesday at home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly, 211 W. Hooks River Road, Goldsboro.
Public visitation will be held Monday from 9 to 10 a.m., and the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at church.
April 12, 1933, Robert married his sweetheart, Virginia Robinson, and to this union 11 children were born.
One son, Lawrence, preceded him in death.
He leaves treasured memory to his devoted and loving wife, Virginia R. Gerald, and 10 children, Grace Wallace (James), Yvonne Garvin, Annette Jamerson, Virginia Atkinson (Willie), Robert L. Gerald Jr. (Dollie), Billy Gerald (Sandra), Linda Peters (Richard), Joann Davis (Frankie), Peggy Bennett (Harry) and Sandra Hailstock (Dwight).
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is serving the family.
