GROVER C. TARLTON
Died May 6, 2014
Grover C. Tarlton, 88, Rosewood community, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment with military honors will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.
Mr. Tarlton was born in Anson County, N.C., to the late William and Irene Jarman Tarlton.
He was retired from the United States Air Force, having served in World War II and the Korea and the Vietnam wars.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Air Force Sergeant Association.
Mr. Tarlton was a member of Rosewood First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Kathrine L. Tarlton; two sons, Grover C. Tarlton Jr. and wife, Kathy J., of Burlington and William L. Tarlton and wife, Vickie, of Goldsboro; a daughter, Judi Howell and husband, Clark, of Fremont; a brother, Frank Tarlton and wife, Betty, of Charlotte; two sisters, Alice Belk of Charlotte and Christine Thomas of Wadesboro; and several grandchildren.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
