Alton Joseph Pearce, 84, of Edwards Street, Princeton, died at his home on Thursday evening, May 1, 2014.
Born Sept. 3, 1929, he is the son of the late Richard Arthur and Allie Ruth Talton Pearce. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Robbins Pearce.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Casey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Pearce is survived by two daughters, Shelia Pfefferkorn and her husband, James, of Clemmons and Rebecca Pearce of Princeton; three sisters, Ruth Lane of Selma, Grace Tyner of Goldsboro, and Betsy Ingram of Rocky Mount; and two grandchildren, John Nicholson and Andrew Pfefferkorn, both of Clemmons.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.
