MINNIE IDA AYERS
Minnie Ida Ayers, 90, Rosewood Road, Goldsboro, N.C., sailed peacefully to the kingdom of Christ Friday, April 18, 2014, in the comfort of her home.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Rocky Branch United Church of Christ in Kenly, N.C.
A wake is scheduled for Friday, April 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Community Funeral Home, 401 N. William St., Goldsboro, N.C. The family will arrive at 6 p.m.
She leaves behind a daughter, Callie Ayers of the home; two sons, James Harvey (Lavolia) and Thomas Ayers (Trena); grandson, Airman Vernon Turner of the home; sister, Ruby Marie Holley; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
