Joseph Pervis Elliott, 74, 104 Balance Road, Fremont, passed away Monday at Wilson Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Lane St., Wilson. The Rev. Lenoard Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery veterans section.

Precious memories are cherished by his mother, Ethel Mae Elliott of Fremont, N.C.; a devoted and special friend, Jannis Bynum of Wilson, N.C.; his sons, Louis Pleasant of Nashville, Tenn., DeAaron Joel Lewis of Goldsboro, N.C., Detoya Quinte Lewis and Denany Chestnut of Wilson, N.C., and Dexter Artis of Snow Hill, N.C.; three sisters, Lila Lewis and Beatrice Spencer of Fremont, N.C., and Bernice Hunt of Annapolis, Mo.; two brothers, James Lee Elliott of Goldsboro, N.C., and Johnnie B. Elliott of Fremont, N.C.; eight grandchildren; an uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 E. Nash St., Wilson.

The family will receive friends at the residence, and will assemble there at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Carrons Funeral Home.
