Daphine Kelly, 92, 319 Thunderswamp Road, Mount Olive, died Saturday at Genesis Health and Rehabilitation.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Faison McGowan, and wife of the late Theartice Kelly.
Homegoing service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Grimes, officiating. Burial will follow in Gore Family Cemetery.
She is survived by two siblings, William (Ophelia) McGowan of Mount Olive and Cora Mitchell of Lumberbridge.
Viewing will be held Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service at the church Friday, and at other times, at the residence.
Garris Funeral Home is serving the family.
