Mrs. Helen Williams Flowers, 88, lifelong Faison resident, passed away Thursday, March 27, at Quinn Hospice Center of Kenansville.
Her family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 28, and at other times, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, at 10 a.m. at Faison Baptist Church, where she was a longtime loyal member. Burial will follow in Faison Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Darrell, his wife, Violeta, his son, Matthew (his wife, Kasey, and their children, Sydney and Julia), and his daughter, Michelle Vuncannon (her husband, Chris, and their children, Brooke and Blake); her daughter, Vicky F. Roberts, her husband, Murray, and their sons, Adam and Richard (his wife, Crystal, and their daughter, Sloane); a special nephew, Glenn Williams and his children, Tyler and Britney; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernice and Esther Williams; and two other sisters-in-law, Katherine Armstrong and Elizabeth Williams.
Those who have preceded her in death include her husband, Willie Edward Flowers; her parents, William Ivey Williams and Pearl Hollowell Williams; and eight of her nine brothers, Troy, Merle, Roland, Earl, Foster, Elton, Lothy and Cecil Williams.
