GLORIA TYNDALL ELLIS

Gloria Tyndall Ellis, 66, Elm City, passed away peacefully March 24, 2014, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

Born Nov. 9, 1947, in Wayne County, N.C., Gloria worked in human resources at Kaba Ilco Corp. for 30 years.

She was saved at the age of 12, and faithfully served the Lord, working with children's Sunday school and church for more than 50 years in Goldsboro and Rocky Mount.

She fought a courageous battle with cancer for more than a year.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Leon and Almetta Edwards Tyndall; a sister, Peggy Delois; and a brother, Jimmy Tyndall.

She is survived by her husband, Steve of the home; sons, Gary (Julie) and Kevin (Karen) both of Rocky Mount; and four grandchildren, who will surely miss "Nana," Brandi and Zachary (Gary) and Stephen and Hillary (Kevin).

Also, sisters, Fannie Brock (Garland) of Beulaville, Peggy Turbeville (John) of Norwood and Edith Pilkington of Goldsboro.

A very special "sister," Donna Lancaster of Rocky Mount, and all of her church family, especially the little ones.

Services will be Saturday, March 29, 2014, at 2 p.m., with pastor Dave Grogan and pastor Carl Gibbs, at Peoples Fellowship Baptist Church, 11972 N.C. 97 East, Rocky Mount.

Visitation will be an hour prior to the service, and at other times, at the home.

Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
