Shirley Peele Colley, 78, passed away suddenly Friday, Jan. 31, 2014.
Shirley was born in Wayne County Oct. 1, 1935, to the late George F. Peele, Sr. and Clyde Smith Peele. She was married to the late William E. Colley.
Shirley had worked many years as a hair stylist.
The family will receive friends Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by her funeral service at 7 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Barry Teague officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Peele Cemetery.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Trudy Brinson of Goldsboro; a son, Steve Mozingo of Lincolnton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, George Franklin Peele Jr.
