JOHNNY WILBERT "J.W." BELL JR.

MOUNT OLIVE -- Johnny Wilbert "J.W." Bell Jr., 66, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 31.

Services to remember his life will be held Sunday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Mark S. Hobbs and the Rev. Leon Grubbs, and followed by visitation. Burial will be Monday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park at Pink Hill.

J. W. was the son of the late Johnny Wilbert Bell and Retha Jones Bell Hill.

He was a longtime member of Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir, and was involved in its homebound ministry.

J. W. had worked at Reeves Brothers, was associated with Bell and Son Tee-Shirt Co., had been a car salesman and lastly, he became a swine producer.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Brown Bell of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Laura Bell of Mount Olive; a daughter and son-in-law, Angel Bell of Mount Olive and Jerry C. Jones Jr. of Fountaintown; five grandchildren, Kevin A. Bell, Tatiana K. Bell, Zachary C. Jones, Sebastian E. Bell and Noah C. Jones; three sisters, Carolyn Bell Hines and Patricia Bell Davis both of Mount Olive and Sandra Bell Slavinski of Denver, Colo.; and step-father, Wiley E. "Tommy" Hill of Kinston, along with his children and their families.
