FRANK B. WIEGAND

Frank Brodricht Wiegand, 79, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his family.

A native of Wayne County, Frank was born June 22, 1934, to the late Herbert Christ Wiegand and Rosabelle Pollock Wiegand.

Frank retired from O'Berry Center, and was a member of Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Barry Williamson and the Rev. Richard Cuddington officiating. Interment will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Frank is survived by his wife, LaVerne Best Wiegand; daughters, Sue Turner and husband, Dennis, of Mount Olive and Jan King and husband, Steve, of Mount Olive; son, Bill Best and wife, Carrie, of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Wendy Dickerson and husband, Neil, Matthew Davenport and wife, Amanda, William Best and wife, Chelsey, Christopher Best, Andrew Best and wife, Haley, Frank Paul King and wife, Cathy, Carla Padgett and husband, Kevin, Jennifer Turner and Ashley King and friend, James; and great-grandchildren, Caleb Dickerson, Gracie Dickerson, Jayleigh Davenport, Connor Davenport, Murphy Davenport, Kaden Padgett and Keigan Padgett, Zoe Galvez, Zander Galvez, Ethan Wiggins, Liam Best and Kahlan King.

He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Wiegand of Goldsboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lois W. Jeannette and Alice W. Laws, and brothers, Herbert, Charles and Richard Wiegand.

The family will receive friends Friday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Dennis Turner, 1579 Grantham School Road, Mount Olive.
