Edward "Tink" Lee Smith, 93 passed away Monday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family.

Tink was born in Wayne County Oct. 10, 1920, to the late George and Dollie Smith.

He was a member of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Barry Teague officiating. A private family burial will take place at Wayne Memorial Park.

Tink is survived by his loving wife, Norma Lee Howell Smith; son, George Norman Smith and wife, Laura, of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Steve Smith, Stacy Savage and Tania Thompson; five great-grandchildren; and brother, James P. Smith of Goldsboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John R. Smith, and sister, Ada Mae Blake.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 4009 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
