Bobby Ray Price, 81, died Sunday morning at his home.

Born in Dudley, N.C., he was the son of the late Herbert Parker and Jessie B. Outlaw Price, and was husband of the late Margarete H. Price.

In 1996, he retired from Acme United, as well as a former employee of Enterprise Rent-a-Car.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with pastor Ralph Parker and pastor Michael Coppick officiating.

Family members will greet friends Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Entombment in the mausoleum at Wayne Memorial Park with military honors will follow the funeral service.

Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army, and was awarded the Bronze Star, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and Dudley Christian Church.

He is survived by two sons, Robert G. Price and wife, Barbara M. Price, of Goldsboro and Raymond L. Price and Brandi Burnham of Dudley; a brother, Thomas Lee Price of Dudley; a sister, Jessie Ann Lee of Mount Olive; a granddaughter, Rebecca N. and husband, David Scott, of Goldsboro; and a great-granddaughter, Juliette Scott of Goldsboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
