Doris Williams James, 86, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Doris was born in Wayne County Nov. 16, 1927, to the late Bill and Nellie Rivenbark Williams. She was married to the late Jennings I. James.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 2:30 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Barry Williamson officiating.
Doris is survived by her sons, Steve James and wife, Diane, of Goldsboro and Phil James and wife, Melody, of Goldsboro; foster son, Scottie Williams; granddaughters, Jennifer Hooker and husband, Philip, Rebecca James and Joanna James; and great-grandchildren, Jakob Lassiter, Hailee Lassiter, Mya Harbaugh and Ceciyla Hooker.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan James.
