CHARLOTTE -- Dr. William Edward Isler, 80, formerly of Goldsboro, passed away Nov. 22, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Dr. Isler was born April 1, 1933, to the late Ernest and Beatrice Isler. He was preceded in death by his wife, as well as three sisters and two brothers.
He is survived by three children; two sisters, Ms. Shirley I. Edwards of Portsmouth, Va., and Ms. Barbara Isler of Goldsboro; an aunt, Mrs. Hattie Ford of Washington, D.C.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 3313 Wade Ave., Raleigh, N.C.
