KINSTON -- Jake Thomas "Sonny" Herring III, 63, died Wednesday.
Funeral will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronnie Hobgood and the Rev. Randy Herring officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Flatfield Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 1, 1950, in Lenoir County to the late Jake Thomas Herring Jr. and Christine Gautier Herring. He was married to Linda Wilkins Herring.
He is survived by a son.
Visitation will be Friday following the service.
