AYDEN -- Grace Myers Barwick, 85, Ayden, passed away Oct. 29, 2013, at Vidant Hospice Center.
Grace was active in Ayden United Methodist Church and La Bonne Heure Book Club.
She was an avid bridge player and gardener, and in her spare time, she enjoyed her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Grace is survived by her son, L. Allen Barwick Jr. and wife, Corinne, of Hickory, N.C., and two daughters, Barbara Williams and husband, Kenneth, of Winterville and Donna Barwick of the home.
She also leaves behind a brother, Dwight Myers, of Emerald Isle; two sisters, Shirley Griffin of Goldsboro and Carol Sutton of Trenton; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Ayden United Methodist Church, with a visitation an hour prior to the service in the Stroud Parlor at the church. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro.
