PIKEVILLE -- David Stephen "Steve" Barnes, 50, departed this walk of life Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at home.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday evening, Sept. 25, 2013, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Steve was born in Wayne County April 15, 1963, to the late Donald Rand Barnes and Shelby Crawford Barnes.
He is survived by a daughter, Steanna Barnes Howell of the home; a son, Tyler Barnes of the home; and their mother, Angie Barnes; a special grandson, Bryce Howell; sister, Becky Christianson and husband, Gary, of Pine Level; two brothers, Donald Barnes of Pikeville and Jerry Barnes of Pikeville; uncle, R.B. Crawford and wife, Judy, of Pikeville; special cousins, Tammy Jones, Tracy Fitzgerald and Terry Pridgen; special nieces, Michelle Cuddington and husband, Jamey and Haley Barnes; special nephew, Bryan Creech; and a very special friend, Martha Alemdar of Goldsboro.
