LLOYD G. ROBSON

Retired Air Force Lt. Col. Lloyd George Robson passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Lloyd was born in Ridley Park, Pa., Aug. 21, 1921, to the late Robert Ernest Robson and Annie Bradley Robson. He was married to the late Madalyn Kuzan Robson, who preceded him in death Nov. 11, 2009.

Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Air Force as a navigator, and retired after 20 years of distinguished service.

Following his military career, Lloyd later worked at and retired from A.P. Parts.

Graveside services will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at his home in Goldsboro from 6 to 8 p.m.

Lloyd is survived by his daughters, Debra R. Hanft and husband, Ken, of Lawrenceville, Ga., Leslie Robson and husband, Jim Loser, of Chamblee, Ga., and Sydney R. Dupree of Garner; sons, Philip B. Robson of Willow Springs, Mark R. Robson and wife, Cathy, of Winston-Salem, David Robson and Wendy Upchurch of Goldsboro; six grandchildren, Laura R. Tomlinson, Steven C. Hanft, Michael R. Robson, Michael B. Hanft, David A. Robson and Jason L. Dupree; three great-grandchildren, Carly, Hazel and Wren; and a sister, Ethel Bakalez of State College, Pa.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Robson.

The family would like to extend a special appreciation to Rita Smith and Ann Kornegay, who provided care allowing Lloyd to spend his final years at home.
