Martrecia Elizabeth Edmunds Madison, 83, fell asleep in death Sunday, July 7, 2013, surrounded by family.
Martrecia was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., March 31, 1930, to the late James and Irene Edmunds.
Although Martrecia leaves a vacant place in our hearts, we know she truly earned her special place written in the book of life. Martrecia will always be remembered as a loyal woman of faith, love and respect for everyone who touched her life. The best of Martrecia will live on in each of us.
She is survived by Penbrook Madison Jr. and whose marriage produced four children, Linda Stanley of Goldsboro and Bobby Madison, Larry Madison and Michael Madison all of Long Island, N.Y.
She is also survived by her sister, Beverly Hines of New Jersey; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends, who loved her dearly.
