MOUNT OLIVE -- Geraldine Barksdale, 412 S. Church St., died May 24 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Best Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Clifton Jones Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Cobbs Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Maryland Edwards Jr. and Odessa Powell Edwards, born in Duplin County Sept. 17, 1952.
Three children survive.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m.
At other times, the family will receive friends at 126 W. Main St., Mount Olive.
