CLINTON B. HAITHCOCK SR.

July 21, 1927-April 19, 2013

Clinton B. Haithcock Sr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 19, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.

Clinton was born in Edgecombe County on July 21, 1927, to the late James C. Haithcock and Mary Campbell Haithcock.

He was married for 63 years to the late Delores Guttery Haithcock. Clinton served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired after 22 years of service.

A service celebrating Clinton's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2013, at Trinity Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.

Clinton is survived by his daughters, Mary Moran and husband, Pat, of San Antonio, Texas, Malinda Jones of Goldsboro and Mary Burchette of Goldsboro; his sons, Clinton Haithcock Jr., Ronald Haithcock, Robert Haithcock and wife, Sherri, and Richard Haithcock, all of Goldsboro. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 21, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home.

We would like to give a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at 3HC and Wayne Memorial Hospital for the love and care they provided for Clinton during his final days. Simple words cannot express our gratitude. Also a thank you to the church family at Trinity Baptist Church who visited Clinton over these past years.

Flowers are welcome, although memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 1086 Hwy. 111 South, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
