Shirley Howard Padgett, 81, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chief Master Sgt. Jesse James Padgett.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill.
She is survived by a daughter, Melinda Padgett Maples and husband, Dennis J. Maples, of Gloucester, Va.; three sons, James Forrest Padgett of Baltimore, Md., Barton Howard Padgett of Goldsboro and Timothy Louise Padgett of Gloucester, Va.; a sister, Bonnie Howard Reynolds of Manassas, Va.; two brothers, Larry Howard of Pink Hill and Graham Howard of Kinston; five grandchildren, Barton Heath Padgett, Draper Jackson Padgett, Travis James Maples, Troy Richard Maples and Amanda Maples Moran; and a great-granddaughter, Daisey May Padgett.
Visitation will be Friday, April 19, 2013, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home.
