MELBA O. JORDAN SUTTON

ROSEBORO -- Mrs. Melba Olive Jordan Sutton, 93, of 605 E. Clinton St., Roseboro, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Roseboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Herring officiating. Burial will follow at Roseboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Sutton was born on July 21, 1919, in Wayne County to the late Clayton Frank and Lillie Edwards Jordan.

She is survived by two daughters, Jo Ann Sutton Norton and husband, Mitchell, of Washington and Pamela Sutton Spell and husband, Terry, of Autryville; one son, Dennis Lamont Sutton and wife, Jenny, of Bradenton, Fla.; one sister, Shirley Jordan Finch of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren, Olivia Norton Cuthrell and husband, Lewis, Jody Sutton, Wendy Sutton Wadsworth and husband, Bobby, Grayson Spell and Harper Spell; and one great-grandchild, Triston Wadsworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 52 years, Thomas Lamont Sutton. She was a homemaker.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro and other times at the home.
