WARSAW -- Irene E. Houston, 86, 469 John Rich Road, died Friday at the home of her daughter.
Funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at KEMBA Headquarters, with elder Lorenzo Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Houston Cemetery.
Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late James Edwards Sr. and Mary Faison Edwards, and the wife of the late Norman Leadell Houston Sr.
Seven children survive.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Garris Funeral Home chapel, with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m., and an hour prior to funeral service at KEMBA Headquarters Friday.
The family will also receive friends at the home of Mary Bryant, 430 Rainbow Road, Warsaw, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
