EDWARD CARROLL JACKSON

MOUNT OLIVE -- Edward Carroll Jackson, 75, Mount Olive, died Monday evening at his residence.

He was the son of the late Garland Malachi and Ruby Keel Jackson, and the widower of Avice H. Jackson.

Mr. Jackson was a "legendary" farmer in the Beautancus community of Mount Olive.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeffery Dail officiating and special words by Tony Faucette. Entombment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral services.

Mr. Jackson is survived by three sons, Carroll Wayne Jackson of Mount Olive, Eddie Lee Faucette and wife, Christina, of Dudley, N.C., and Tony Lyn Faucette and wife, Lee, of Kernersville; a daughter, Gaye Brock and husband, Roy Allen, of Mount Olive; five grandchildren, Stacey Langston and husband, Dale, Tori Williams and husband, Michael, Blake Faucette and wife, Angelica, and Robert and Ryan Faucette; a sister, Shirley Rudolph of Mount Olive; two great-grandchildren, John Allen Quinn and Avery Lynn Williams; a brother, William Dexter Jackson and wife, Helen, of Mount Olive; two special nieces, Kim Vinson and husband, L.A., and Tracey Hayes and husband, Michael; three special nephews, William Jackson of Mount Olive and Chris and Steve Jackson of Virginia Beach, Va.; friends, Vick and Teresa Swinson and family of Mount Olive and Mark McCollum of Mount Olive; and many great-nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by three brothers, Garland, Carl and Wayne Jackson.
