GARNER -- Lula Mae Bass Fulghum, 91, passed away Friday evening at her daughter's home in Garner.

A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home at 5 p.m., with the Rev. Grace Hargis officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service. A committal service will be held Monday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Elmwood cemetery in Fremont.

She is the daughter of the late Lindsey and Violet Bass, and the wife of the late George Franklin Fulghum Jr.

Mrs. Fulghum is survived by two daughters; Ella Garner and husband, Billy, of Garner and Joyce F. Perkinson, of Smithfield; three sons, James Edward Fulghum, of Seven Springs, Billy Ray Fulghum and friend, Carol, of Snow Hill and Donnie Fulghum and friend, Georgia, of Grifton; three sisters, Judy Turner and husband, Charlie of Deep Run, Virginia Harper and husband, Gerald, of Albertson and Dotsy Jean Harper and husband, Carroll, of Kenly; two brothers, Clifton Jones and friend, Rita, of Raleigh and Leroy Jones of Sebring, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
