Longtime business owner Doris L. Bailey died Friday, March 22, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A private graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro, with pastor Gene Hales officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman D. Bailey, and is survived by her children, Nelson Bailey of Charlotte, Alan Bailey and wife, Cindy, of Pikeville and Miranda Bailey and fiancé, Chris Vance, of Jacksonville, Fla; and grandchildren, Elliott Bailey-Wills of Jacksonville, Fla., Elizabeth and Alana Bailey of Pikeville.
She and her husband, Thurman Bailey, ran one of the oldest jewelry stores in Goldsboro until his death in 1986, and then until she retired in 1996.
