JUDY ASHBY

Judy "Julia Faye" Ashby died Saturday, March 16, at Kitty Askins.
She was born in Tulsa, Okla., to the late Gordon S. and Ethel O. See.
She married Gordon B. Ashby in 1959, and graduated from Los Angeles State College in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology.
She was employed by the state of North Carolina at the Employment Security Commission offices in Mount Olive and Goldsboro.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, Judy is survived by a son, Steve Ashby of Mount Olive; two daughters, Carrie A. Best and husband, Bill, of Mount Olive and Diane Ashby of Raleigh; three grandsons, William Best and fiancée, Chelsey Lee, of Mount Olive, L.C. Andrew Best and wife, Haley Kohnen Best, of Havelock and Christopher Best of Mount Olive; two great-grandsons, Ethan Lee Wiggins and Liam Best of Mount Olive; a brother, G. Stephen See and wife, Joan, of Issaquah, Wash.; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Per Judy's request, no formal services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wayne County Humane Society, P.O. Box 821, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
