KINSTON -- Jonah Bob "J.B." Dawson, 82, of Kinston, died Friday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
A service of remembrance will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Truett officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
J.B. was born in Lenoir County to the late Clinton Adam Dawson and Della Pelletier Dawson.
J.B. is survived by his wife, Geraldine Smith Dawson and two sons.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home.
