It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of its beloved mother and grandmother, Edna Washington, Feb. 14, 2013.
She is survived by a son, Anthony Faison of Goldsboro; three daughters, Benita Pridgen of Goldsboro, Synovia Washington of Goldsboro and Belinda Washington of Norfolk, Va.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
She will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at St. James AME Zion Church. Interment will be held at Old Mill Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by E.M. Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Inc.
