FREMONT -- Shirley Rose Whitley Newsome Martinez, 51, Davis Mill Road, died Thursday at home.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont.
Visitation will follow the service. At other times the family will be at the home of her mother, 1307 Hooks Road in Fremont.
She was born in Wayne County Sept. 6, 1961, daughter of Nancy Cavenaugh Whitley and the late Paul Ray Whitley.
She is survived by her stepfather, William B. Barnes of Fremont, and two daughters.
