CATHERINE ROGERS LEE

Catherine Rogers Lee, 85, passed away early Sunday morning at her residence.
Born in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Wallace Rogers and Henrietta Williamson Rogers, and wife of the late Frank Lee.
She was the sister of the late Frankie, Bo, Luke, Joe, George "Short," Grace Rexie Rogers and Shirley Balkcum.
Catherine was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Olivia.
A member of Peace Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, she was a former employee of Belk's in Mount Olive and the Mount Olive Livestock Market.
A service celebrating her life will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Russ Evans and the Rev. Ray Smith officiating. Entombment will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum chapel.
Family members will greet friends Tuesday following the funeral service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lee is survived by her daughters, Loretta (Daniel) Barfield of Mount Olive and Fran (Michael) Moro of Virginia Beach, Va.; her stepdaughters, Patricia (Gibson) Bogue of Eureka and Dean (Carl) Deavers of Goldsboro; her sisters, Clara Sholar and Nettie Evangeline Rogers both of Holly Ridge; grandchildren, Michael (Claudia) Moro, Amy Moro, Geoffrey Moro, Lee Ann Hardison (Michael) and Blake Barfield; great-grandchildren, Paul Moro and Mason Hardison; and a number of stepgrandchildren, including Loreen Moro Clayton, Lisa Moro, Brittany and Nicholas Clayton.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her faithful companion Katie Darden and Dr. Kasbari and the staff at Southeastern Medical Oncology Center.
