RACHEL CROCKER HARRIS

Rachel Crocker Harris, 85, passed away Wednesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Johnston County to the late Frank and Eyra Brown Crocker, and was the wife of the late James Harris.
She was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, and was retired from General Electric.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with Dr. Bob Fulkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
She is survived by her son, Keith Harris and wife, Debbie, of Goldsboro; two grandsons, Shawn Keith Harris and wife, Michelle, of Pikeville and Brandon Christopher Harris and wife, Wendy, of Wilmington; the light of her life, two great-grandchildren, Cierra Harris and Shawn James "S.J." Harris; an exceptional sister, Shirley Hatcher and husband, Welton, of Long Beach; a special niece, Bonnie Price and husband, Linwood, of Rocky Mount; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raiford Crocker and Walter Barney Crocker, and two sisters, Betty M. Boykin and Maude Medlin.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Keith and Debbie Harris.
