MOUNT OLIVE — Rovie Leigh Lambert, 80, son of the late Gilbert and Ella Mae Lambert, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.
A celebration of life service will be held at West and Dunn Funeral Home, Newton Grove on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at 7 p.m. with family visitation following the service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Lorene Barefoot Lambert, and siblings, Bertha L. Hill and Atlas Lambert.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters Gloria L. Herring and husband, Ricky, of Meadow, Patsy L. Johnson and husband, Mark, of Statesville; grandchildren, Damion Herring, Andrew Johnson and Sarah Johnson; and beloved dog Little Bit; as well as many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family is grateful for the loving care provided during his illness by caregiver Charlene Robinson and the Kitty Askins staff.
