IRVINE RUDOLPH EDMUNDSON

Mr. Irvine Rudolph Edmundson, 78, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Pa Pa," 600 E. Dixie Trail, Goldsboro, departed his earthly life to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

Irvine was born in Wayne County May 23, 1934, to the late Mrs. Hattie May Worrells Edmundson and Mr. Marvin Edmundson.

He received his early education in the public schools in Wayne County.

Irvine was employed with Nahunta Pork Center in Pikeville, where he retired after 20 years of service.

He was a member of Church of God True Holiness Church.

His loving wife, Lillie Doris Dixon Edmundson, and a son, Irvine Rudolph Edmundson Jr., preceded Irvine in death.

Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Spirit of Excellence Ministries Church, 4091/2 E. Elm St., Goldsboro, with bishop P. Dion Womack officiating. Interment will follow in Fremont Cemetery, 152 Winding Branch Ave., Fremont.

A public viewing will be held Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at McIntyre Funeral Home, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, from 2 to 6 p.m. Also, the family will be present to receive other family members and friends from 5 to 6 p.m.

Mr. Edmundson leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories three daughters, Annie Edmundson Williams of the home, elder Barbara Durant of Pensacola, Fla., and Katrina Emerson of San Diego, Calif.; four sons, Ronnie Edmundson of Fremont, Charles Edmundson of San Diego, Calif., Milton Edmundson of Goldsboro and Jay Paul Jones of Goldsboro; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

The family will assemble at the residence, 600 E. Dixie Trail, Goldsboro, one hour prior to the funeral at 10 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
