KINSTON -- Theodore "Ted" Dixon Montague Jr., 79, 1904 Stewart Place, went to be with his heavenly father Aug. 11, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville after a brave battle from a traumatic fall July 24. He was surrounded by his wife and family.

He owned and rode horses in his early years, loved to fish and cared for many a sick or injured animal. He loved watching tennis and spending time with his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of the SIU and SICU units at Vidant Medical in Greenville for their loving care during these last days.
