JACKIE VANDERIAN ROBERTSON

On Wednesday, July 11, 2012, Jackie V. Robertson departed this life.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Viewing was held prior to the funeral from 12 until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jack, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was born to the late Fred W. Robertson Sr. and Rosa L. (Braswell) Robertson on July 10, 1955, in Goldsboro. He graduated from Goldsboro High School class of 1973. After graduation from high school, Jack worked at Cherry Hospital as a nursing technician for a number of years and later as a construction worker with his brothers Fred Jr., Milton and Copemon Robertson for many more years. Jack will be remembered for his jovial and fun loving personality and a person who loved to cook.

Jack was preceded in death by his father, Fred W. Robertson Sr., his mother, Rosa L. (Braswell) Robertson; and his brothers, Fred W. Robertson Jr. and Milton Robertson.

Jack leaves to mourn his death his wife, Gail Robertson; their son, Tikki Antwan Buckrham; one granddaughter, Daysia A. Buckrham, all of Goldsboro; two sisters, Margaret Bell of Spring Hill, Fla. and Carolyn Robertson of Goldsboro; two sisters-in-law, Patricia (Smith) Robertson (Fred Jr.) of Goldsboro, and Carolyn B. Chesnutt (Charles) of Goldsboro; two brothers, Copemon Robertson of Goldsboro, and Robert E. Robertson (Brenda) of Riverview, Fla.; one brother-in-law, Raymond Bryant Jr. (Josephine) of Goldsboro; one uncle, Farrior L. Braswell of Dudley; two aunts, Mable Austin of Goldsboro, and Virginia Rouse of Dudley; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many, many friends.
