NEWPORT, Va. -- Davis Alan Corbett, 58, passed away Thursday, June 21, at Sentara Hospital in Newport, Va.
He was born in Wayne County to Selby Corbett and the late Lora Corbett O'Neal.
A graduate of Eastern Wayne High School, he was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served with the 82nd Airborne Division.
A private memorial service will be held.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a son, Steven Corbett of LaGrange; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Allen Mumford of Goldsboro; and stepmother, Diane Corbett of Dudley.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Max Corbett.
