Jesse C. Thompson Sr. died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. James Disciples of Christ Church in Fremont, with pastor Anthony Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Wilson.
He was married to Edna Thompson.
He is survived by two sons and five daughters.
Visitation will be today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, with the family present from 12 to 12:45 p.m. at the church.
