NEWTON GROVE -- Edison Williford, 80, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral service will be Thursday, June 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Union Christian Church in Newton Grove. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Newton Grove.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Smith Williford; daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Steve Junghans of Billings, Mont.; three grandchildren, Grant, Greg and Breana Junghans of Billings, Mont.; and sister Ethel Alene Bunkers of Lehi, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Carrie Williford, and 12 siblings.
He was a faithful member of Pleasant Union Christian church.
He was employed by Newton Grove Drug Co., and later worked at West and Dunn Funeral Home.
He also farmed and owned a gas station in his younger adulthood.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, June 13, from 6 to 8 p.m.
