KINSTON -- Joe Barfield Sr., 74, of Kinston, died Wednesday.
A memorial service will be today at 3 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, with the Rev. Brad Mitchell officiating.
He was born in Lenoir County and was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Julia Gardner Barfield.
Joe is survived by his wife, Jessie Williams Barfield, and three children.
The family will receive friends today following the memorial service.
