MOUNT OLIVE -- Louise R. Woodcock, 94, passed away late Friday evening, at Mount Olive Care and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 7 p.m., at Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Turner, and Pastor Jeff Dail officiating. Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the home of Jerry and Susan Whaley, 4302 Hwy. 117S Alternate, Dudley. Burial will take place on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m., in Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive.
She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley L. Britt of Morehead City, and Susan Whaley, and husband, Jerry, of Dudley; a son, Danny Elton Woodcock of Wilmington; five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; her stepchildren, Grace Gregs and Juanita Taylor, both of Stanley, and William "Sonny" Woodcock Jr., of Roy, Washington; and a special friend, Betty Myers. Ms. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; Will Reaves and Rena Shipp; and a son, James Edward Lane.
