PIKEVILLE -- The Rev. Anthany Williams, 52, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Bill," 103 Old Forte Road, Pikeville, departed his earthly life peacefully Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

"Bill" was born in Wayne County May 18, 1959, to the late Mary Austin Williams and the Rev. John Wesley Williams Sr.

Also, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Kevin Coley.

Anthany was educated in the public schools of Wayne County.

Rev. Williams worked faithfully as an electrician with B & D Electric Co.

Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, March 15, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Barnes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1108 Rosewood Road, Goldsboro, with elder Marshell F. Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Barnes Chapel Cemetery, 1110 Rosewood Road, Goldsboro.

A public viewing will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at McIntyre Funeral Home and Florist, 900 S. George St., Goldsboro, from 2 to 6 p.m., with the family present to receive friends and other family members from 5 to 6 p.m.

Rev. Williams leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories three daughters, Shantianna Williams, Carolyn Williams, Taniesha Reed; his former wife, Angela Williams all of Longview, Texas; five brothers, John Williams Jr. and wife, Eldress Emily, the Rev. Terry Williams and wife, Teresa, and Nelson Williams, all of Goldsboro, the Rev. Marshell Williams and wife, Eldress Jackie, and the Rev. LaMont Williams and wife, Eldress Jackie, of Philadelphia, Pa.; four sisters, Eldress Sarah Peele and husband, George, Ella Howell and husband, Charles, Joyce Hocutt, Evelyn Coley and husband, Foy Sr., all of Goldsboro; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; a great-great-nephew; cousins; other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Foy Coley, 604 S. Audubon Ave., Goldsboro, where family and friends will assemble one hour prior at 10 a.m. to the funeral in preparation for the funeral procession.
