Julia Ann Herring Batchelor, 84, of Kinston passed away Friday, March 9, 2012, at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 until 9 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home, and other times at 2931 Ravenwood Drive, Kinston.
She was a homemaker. Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Waldo Batchelor; daughter, Beverly Britt Jones; brothers, Luke Herring, Thomas Herring; and sisters, Nelda "Sinker" Johnson and Leona Rogers.
Survivors are her sons, Carl Britt and Jimmy Britt of Kinston, Donald "Bo" Britt and wife, Joy, of Seven Springs; special grandchildren, Tony Taylor and wife, Kim, of Hugo, and Brittany Jones Brayboy of Kinston; and son-in-law, Mark Jones; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her bingo family at Mickey's Beach Bingo.
Edward Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
