PIKEVILLE -- Kenneth Bryan Wells, 72, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Kenneth was born in Wayne County May 2, 1939, to the late Mallie Wells and Neta Narron Wells. He was married to the late Barbara Lewis Wells.
Kenneth had worked for many years with Dumas Oil Co., and retired from East Coast Transport, but he got great pleasure in farming in the Nahunta community.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service in the chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Davis and the Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Kenneth is survived by his two sons, Timothy Wells and wife, Jennifer, of Pikeville and Kenneth Bryan Wells Jr. also of Pikeville; three grandchildren, Jamie Bissette Brogden, Betsy Bissette and Joshua Wells; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Brogden and Rebekah Brogden; and his brothers, Melvin Wells and wife, Marjorie, of Pikeville and Gordon Wells and wife, Glenda, of Williamston.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Victoria Wells Bissette, and a sister, Betty Lou Wells Cuddington.
