FREMONT -- Ray Murray, 72, died Saturday, Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2011.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church in Wilson, followed by a time of visiting and
sharing.
Ray was a local freight delivery man, and had served in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lillian Teachey Murray, and brothers, Douglas "Bo" Murray and Sherwood Murray.
Surviving are his daughter, Lisa Rae Murray Little of Henderson; son, Larry S. Murray of Wilson; grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Little, Bryce Murray, Scott and Stuart Penman; sisters, Linda Proctor (Thomas) of Fremont and Christine Hites (Bill) and Shirley Kelly both of Wilson; brothers, Jimmy Murray (Linda) of Wilson and Joey and Jerry Murray both of Fremont; former wife and mother of his children, Jean Aycock Murray of Wilson; and devoted companion, Ann Summerlin of Wilson.
