MAMIE HAWKINS

Ms. Mamie Hawkins, 72, was born April 16, 1939, to Less and Macie Lee Davis in Lenior County. She quietly departed this earthly home to be with the Lord Dec. 13, 2011.
Mamie worked at
Britthaven in Kinston for many years as a housekeeper.
She was loved by all. She was truly blessed with the love of her family and friends. She will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Heber Hawkins.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her daughter, Brenda Hawkins, of the home, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, from 1 to 3 p.m. at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home.
Ms. Hawkins' earthen vessel is peacefully resting at E.M. Matthews Funeral Home, where the Hawkins and connected families are receiving prestigious service.
