Russell Simeon Ward, 58, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at his home.
Russell was born in Wayne County Dec. 7, 1952, to the late Robert G. Ward and Eunice Southerland Ward.
He had been a salesman for Wayne Wholesale, and was a member of Goldsboro Elks Lodge No. 139 BPOE.
Russell was also the owner and operator of Moore's.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Willow Dale Cemetery.
Russell is survived by his son, Russell Stephen Ward of Goldsboro; his daughter, Lisa Jane Ward of Tampa, Fla.; his sister, Judy Aycock and husband, Jimmy, of Pikeville; his brother, David Ward and wife, Rhonda, of Goldsboro; and grandson, Matthew Logan Ward.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at Seymour Funeral Home.
